When I Bring My Fear to God

A brief note: This is a personal conversation I had with God while sitting with fear. I share it not as an answer for the world, but as a way of showing how I bring my worries to Him.
Me: I am afraid.
God: Fear is a part of life. I can bring peace to you personally in times of fear. I am the master, the creator, the author of peace.
Me: What do you think about this worry?
God: It is a made-up future. You are living out something that isn’t happening when you worry.
Me: What else do you want me to think about this worry?
God: You are safe.
You are always safe.
You are mine.
No matter what happens, we can breathe through it together.
We are one. My peace is yours.
We share it when you share your worries with me.
Your worry holds you until you share it with me. Then I hold you.
Let my love work in you to absorb all fear.
I can absorb it like a sponge absorbs spilled liquid.
I will absorb it and then release it.
It’s okay to be afraid.
It’s an opportunity to allow me to hold you.
You don’t need to feel shame or disappointment in being afraid.
I am always here to comfort you.
Believe.
Allow.
Be with me.
Be here right now.
Be present with me.
Even if you give me 10% of your fear,
“I will open up the heavens and pour you out a blessing”
of peace to overflowing.
Me: Lord, what would you love me to do?
God: Practice this. Practice giving me a portion, and as your faith and trust grow, you will be able to give me more.
